The award was presented during a gala awards dinner at the Tower of London Pavilion last week.
Based on the Princes Drive Industrial Estate in the town, Aeristech – which is backed by venture capital specialists Midven – has developed an innovative low-cost hybrid turbocharger technology which enables car manufacturers to lower CO2 emissions and downsize engines without impacting performance.
Midven and other investors in the company were also recognized through the award because of their significant funding and business support to the Aeristch team to overcome challenges.
Duncan Kerr, investment director at Midven, said he was delighted that one of Midven’s portfolio companies won the award. “This is wonderful news for Aeristech and Midven. Aeristech is a great example of innovation and entrepreneurship benefitting from investment and additional support. We are thrilled that Aeristech has been recognized for its achievements in technology and business.”

The UK Business Angels Association received a large number of quality entries to the 2015 Angel Investment Awards making judging extremely difficult. The finalists highlighted exciting innovating businesses and the investors who backed them.
