We’re raising a glass at Midven this week on news that one of our longstanding portfolio companies, Warwick Music Group, has scooped a major international award for its innovative products.
WMG has been awarded the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) 2016 Best In Show for its eyecatching and versatile pTrumpet: the world’s first all-plastic trumpet.
More than 100,000 visitors from 102 countries and regions attended this year’s awards in California from 21st to 24th January 2016. Exhibitors like WMG showcased the latest in music design and innovation.
pTrumpet hit the right note with the show’s judges, which comprised leading retailers from across the world, to win in the highly coveted “Gotta Stock It!” category.
For the team at Midven, it is immensely satisfying to see companies in which we have invested going from strength to strength. That’s certainly the case with WMG, which has grown thanks to its robust business planning, relentless innovation and the sound advice and support it has received from Midven experts.
WMG’s award-winning pTrumpet includes an innovative all-plastic valve system – the first of its kind – allowing it to be played straight out of the box with no oil. As the lightest trumpet on the market, it is also perfect for young players.
