Midven hosts series of regional investment readiness workshops in 2018 for Midlands entrepreneurs
We are excited to build upon our 25-year history investing in early-stage businesses with the management of the new £35m West Midlands equity fund, part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF).
As we expand our venture work to invest this £35m in the region, we will be hosting a number of investment readiness workshops across the Midlands to share with entrepreneurs various fund-raising options available to them.
We invite entrepreneurs to attend these free and interactive workshops where industry experts will discuss the challenges early-stage businesses face and share strategies on how to fund raise and position their ventures for success.
The interactive sessions bring together Midven investment directors with leading experts in finance and law to provide clear guidance on:
- How to create a structured and strategic business plan
- How to create achievable financial forecasts
- What investors look for in a pitch and how to pitch successfully
- How to structure your company legally to ensure a smooth investment process
This is a unique opportunity for high-growth and early-stage businesses to gain a better understanding of what investors are looking for and how to ensure that they are completely ready before pitching to an investor.
