Two new faces have joined Birmingham-based venture capital specialists Midven’s growing team.
Ben Reed, aged 21, and Joshua Rodger, aged 22, will support Midven’s investment management team in their roles as analysts. Both of the new recruits have run social enterprises whilst at university through their involvement with Enactus.
Enactus is an entrepreneurial community of student, academic and business leaders.
Joshua graduated in law from the University of Bristol while Ben has a Bsc in Management Sciences, having graduated from Nottingham University. Both have operated at a senior level within their local Enactus programmes at university, which involves helping develop entrepreneurial projects into sustainable programmes that benefit communities around the world.
Tony Stott, CEO of Midven, said: “Despite the arguments of risk and uncertainty since the Brexit vote, we believe it should be very much a case of business as usual. As such we continue to expand our team and recruit the best people. We were very impressed with Joshua and Ben both in terms of their experience and their entrepreneurial attitude, which certainly burns strong within them both.”
Outside of work, Joshua plays and watches a range of sport and enjoys travelling whilst Ben is a keen skier and golfer and follows Premier League football.
